Bissell Centre is so excited to be a feature Smile Cookie charity for Edmonton and area Tim Horton’s locations from May 1 to 7, 2023

From the Smile Cookie you purchased, 100% of the proceeds go to Bissell Centre and support our Child and Family Supports. The challenges that lead to poverty often start in early childhood and, thanks to you, families in our community have the help they need to break the cycle of poverty.

Bissell’s Child and Family Supports are conveniently located in central Edmonton, and spots are reserved specifically for children from families with low incomes.

About our Child and Family Supports

Proceeds from the Smile Cookies go towards Bissell’s Child and Family Supports, which provides both full-time and respite care for children ages 0-6.

We serve hundreds of children annually, incorporating the “learning through play” model to assist in developing children’s social, emotional, intellectual, and cultural growth.

Bissell Centre has seen an uptick in the number of families struggling with the recent rise in the cost of
living. These funds will be used to offset the daycare costs for families experiencing poverty so caregivers can continue to work and support their families and to supplement donations, so we always have
enough diapers, formula, and clothing for children and families in our programs.

Our Early Childhood Development Program is designed to foster improved early childhood development outcomes so Edmonton children can get the best possible start in life.
