About Bissell’s Toy Drive
Festive Giveaway is Bissell’s annual holiday toy drive. We provide toys to the children of families accessing our programs and services. Times are tight this year, and the need is high: our goal is to collect 2400 toys to ensure everyone’s holiday season is merry and bright.
You can help bring joy to local families in need by donating new, unwrapped gifts for children of all ages (infants, children, and youth).
Toy Donation Ideas
Infants (0-2):
musical toys, rattles, shape stackers, board books
Children (3-11):
picture books, graphic novels, basketballs, soccer balls, craft or science sets, puzzles, art supplies, dolls, building toys, vehicle toys, animal toys
Youth (12+):
gift cards, sporting goods, sealed cosmetics, board games/puzzles and art supplies
*Please no plush toys/used toys or books/clothing/food or candy.

We’re thankful that several local businesses have stepped up as donation drop-off locations for our toy drive. They’ll have donation boxes up until November 30, 2023.
December Donations
You can also drop off your donations at Bissell Centre East (10527 96 Street NW) December 4 – 8, 2023 from 11 am to 6 pm.
Donate from Anywhere
We want as many local children as possible to find gifts under their tree this year. So we’re making it super easy to donate toys – including donating from home. Take a look at our Amazon Wishlist for a selection of wonderful toys you can donate directly to the children of families involved in Bissell programs and services.
Just click on an item you’d like to donate and select “Bissell Centre’s Gift Registry Address” as the shipping address during checkout.
Bissell Elves Needed Soon
These gifts don’t reach the families on their own. We’ll need plenty of people to step up as Bissell Elves to sort all the toy donations and build out the packages with the toys and everything needed to wrap them so families still have that magical experience. Plus, drivers that can deliver them all to the right place.
