This year, all Tim Hortons locations in Spruce Grove and Beaumont have chosen Bissell Centre as their Smile Cookie charity partner.

From April 28 to May 4, every Smile Cookie sold at these locations will support go directly towards Bissell Centre’s programs and services that help individuals and families uncover their unique paths out of poverty and homelessness.  

Your purchase helps provide housing-focused support, mental health services, financial empowerment programs, and a sense of community.

What Your Cookie Can Do

A little girl named Lily came to one of our programs with her grandmother—quiet, unsure, and carrying more than we realized.

At first, they stayed on the edges. Lily was shy. Her grandma was hesitant. They didn’t say much, but they kept coming back.

Week by week, trust grew. Lily found comfort, made friends, and began to feel safe enough to just be a kid. Her grandmother stayed longer, asked questions, and eventually shared more of their story.

That’s when we learned they were experiencing homelessness—and just how heavy their burden had become.

We were able to adapt: offering longer rest periods, clean clothes, and extra one-on-one time when it was needed most.

Now, Lily walks through the doors with a grin. Her grandmother leaves with a lighter heart, knowing they’re not alone. Together, they’ve found safety, stability, and a community of care.
