Currently, Bissell Centre is looking for an individual wanting to join the Bissell Centre’s Analysis & Evaluation team. Are you ready to be our Database Analyst and make an impact in our community?

Duties and Responsibilities

Application Development & Automation

  • Develop, maintain, and support Microsoft Power Apps applications to meet business requirements, streamline processes, and ensure optimal performance.
  • Design, test, and deploy applications incorporating user interfaces, workflows, and data integrations.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain Power Automate flows to enhance business process automation and system integrations.
  • Debug and fix errors in Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to ensure reliable and accurate functionality.
  • Optimize applications for improved performance, security, and compliance with best practices.
  • Create Power BI reports to visualize and analyze data for business insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively propose and implement innovative solutions.

 

Data Management & Migration

  • Support data migration from legacy data sources to Power Apps by assisting with data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading into Dataverse or other connected data services.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze feedback, and proactively address application or process issues.

 

Governance, Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure solutions comply with internal data security policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power Apps and Power Automate features, enhancements, and best practices to continuously improve solution quality.
  • Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all Power Platform solutions to support troubleshooting, updates, training, and collaboration.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining applications using Microsoft Power Apps
  • Proficient in creating, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboard
  • Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to Power Apps applications and integrations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Power Apps development, including Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Experienced in developing and supporting Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data integration.
  • Knowledge of best practices for app performance optimization and security within the Power Apps platform.
  • Skilled in maintaining documentation for knowledge sharing.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Conditions of Work

  • Work is primarily remote, with an expected 5% to 20% in-office presence at Bissell Centre.
