Bissell Camps at Moonlight Bay

Every summer since 1929, Bissell Centre has provided, kids, parents, and adults opportunities to spend time at Moonlight Bay Centre on Wabamun Lake.

Today, we offer four-day camps to adults and families—people who typically live in communities with high rates of domestic violence, gang activity, and drug use—the chance to get away from the city and their daily stresses. We facilitate positive recreational activities in a peaceful and natural setting, offering a much needed reprieve and enhance their quality of life emotionally, socially, and physically.

Camps are free to our participants. Bissell Centre provides transportation, accommodations, and meals. Activities include swimming, canoeing, volleyball, arts and crafts, and more led by staff from our Child and Family Services Program or Recreation and Wellness Program, and volunteers.

If you are a Bissell Centre participant and would like to apply to attend camp, please contact your Bissell Centre Support Worker.
